The Dusk Has Arrived

The 'dusk' has arrived The sun has willingly bowed Down the silver lined Clouds With departure framed waves Encompassing luminous Rays, As I sit by the window of solitude Watching the 'dusk ' in control, allowing the dawn to emerge, There lies a perfumed silence of your feathered touch That’s broken by the ticking of time.. Perchance amidst my Heart, A peculiar numbness rests As an empty vessel must feel And images captured in reel Deep inside, poetry is clove hitched Amidst my throbbing Heart And my trembling lips are stuck To extract voluptuous words For I’ve battled for hours, darling Yet fluttering like Caterpillars They deny settling on the white Blank paper enveloped on my lap Memories smitten by your Love, Vigor and dynamic persona Have kept me awake all night long So much so that I blush in hush If solitude is that intoxicating Then I’d yearn to march endlessly To catch one little reminiscence Of our heartiest conversation How I long for a Rendezvous With this sumptuous solitude To write a chronicle of our fondness But your Name itself suffices.
