The Drive
Hours upon the open road
seeming like sheer seconds
in an hourglass of time
From torrential downpours
To outpours of affection
Even in silence
words exchanged
amidst unspoken air
Careful attention
Carefree notions
Stories expound on
new Memories forged
in the fire of our souls
