The Dressmaker A woman with overflowing kindness, patience and vigor All- in-one: a dressmaker, sewer and a tailor Devoted herself unselfishly to her family and neighbors Her endurance and sacrifices are up to the core A woman of household light, a very good wife Her divided attention and care was sometimes our knife A great mother and granny denouncing our strife You’re brothers and sisters-her kind words are rife A woman who seemingly doesn’t know how to rest On siesta hours, late at night…still stitching at her best Sewing draperies, garments, repairing them the least She’s a great dressmaker and mom who’ll not turn down a request. A mother never stops being a mother! A lovely and fitting tribute to your mother, Leonora! Apart from being a teacher, my mum was also a very good dressmaker, but in those days it was taken for granted that in big families the mother had to be capable of making ends meet by using her talents. You are right my dear friend Paul. A mother is always a mother. Thank you so much for your precious time to visit my work and your encouraging comments. Sorry for coming just now coz I was super duper busy and this weekend, still. whew! But i need to stop by to say thanks a lot before going back to my many assignments for this week. - Beautifully written to your mother dear Leonora - My mother worked as a "dressmaker" before she married my father - She made many beautiful clothes for us when we were kids :) - hugs //Anne-Lise :)

Thank you my dear friend, Anne Lise! Wow! Your mom was also a dressmaker like my mom. We told our mom to stop and have her break but still, she wants to have a sewing machine wherever she goes. Then we found a cute musical sewing machine. I bought it and I composed a poem for her.Thanks a lot for stopping by.

We read this to her and she liked it, my dear friend, Tim. We're going to send it to her along with a cute and beautiful musical sewing machine toy. She will love it, I'm sure. You're right. Parents make a lot of sacrifices to their children. That's what our mom did when we're still young. However, we can't stop her until now, lol. Thanks a lot for stopping by.
