The Dreams I Keep
Soft arms enfold me,
like meadows' warm embrace.
You're the only one I see,
Lights on!
In this sacred space.
Warmth seeps into my soul,
A glow that satisfies deep.
A kiss like molten gold,
Her allure, a dream to keep.
The alarm tolls,
Here I lie.
Alone and broken,
As the days go by.
In dreams, I sail,
A sea of hope, serene.
In this world, I flail,
A gruesome scene.
What shall I become?
A fool in love’s embrace.
When will this void be filled?
The day I leave this place.
Pillows like clouds,
Once more, I descend.
Soft arms around me,
In slumber, I mend.
