The Dream Keeper

Take me to my familiar place, which I adore
Have pity on me; allow my dreams to soar.
Every detail, I wish to live out unlike before.

Dreams of mine, so simple but so secure.
Reality robbed me of it and much more.
Every night I crave, to indulge in lore.
Again and again building happiness galore,
Material items have no value in my velour.

Keep my dream safe and locked in for sure.
Engage my thoughts, so that there is a cure.
Envelop my soul that evil stays from the door.
Please dream keepers, deliver me in realms core.
Each time I sleep, I need my fantasies allure.
Reality has no purpose, visions of mine to score.

Wish we could all experience such magical dreams, Cecil. Your dreams give you hope, security and a stage for fantasy. Awesome work!

Some dreams are so worth keeping.....a little treasure that one hopes will stay close to one's heart. sometimes the real world is not such a happy place, and we can retreat to our dream for awhile. Hope some of your dreams come true. ~ love, Carrie

This is a wonderful write about the magic of dreams. A nice little prayer that serves as a dreamcatcher for the negative and calls for enchantment and peace. I love it. Very well done. Smiles from Lolita~ thank you for reading my work and for your wonderful comments... you are always so kind. I am honored to be read by you.
