The Dream
The dream never fades it only grows more vivid,
more real with each passing night.
You want it so badly; it’s as though it is just within your grasp.
You awake-
As cold and empty as when you first lay down.
Needing your dream to be a reality.
The dream becomes an obsession,
Sneaking into your waking hours.
Torturing you, taunting and teasing.
Leading you by it’s magic;
only to disappear into the light.
It’s gone!
You chase it, search for it, wait for it to reappear.
But will it?
Of course.
You have no control, no freedom!
You try to capture it as it dances just beyond your reach.
You can’t!
You try to give up but the dream will not allow you.
Will it become reality or only drive you insane?
Follow your dreams.
