The Drastic End Result of Looking In the Wrong Direction

an empty house
shaped like a broken heart
a teardrop in the middle of the living room floor
unkempt i am
offensive i remain
praying in vain
waiting in vain

once so full of life
now so full of grief
i let the rodents and the critters take over
forgotten i now would rather be
thinking of drowning myself in the deep black sea
staying in vain
hating in vain

an empty house
shaped like a broken heart
a teardrop in the middle of the living room floor
washed up i am
excuse drenched and blame driven i remain
paying while stained
debating while dangerously unrefrained
