The Dragon Emperor
Once upon a time,
a star fell from the sky.
There were two fragments.
The first fell into the birthplace of hope.
Empathy, compassion, and mercy,
carrying out the will of the heavens.
And the other was passed down among powerful people,
burning with ambition, greed, and desires.
Bleeding into the earth, spreading sickness.
The power of the cosmos, corrupted.
I can feel it,
This is the power I’ve been seeking all this time.
Now at last,
the strongest dragon will be born.
Give it all to me,
give it to me.
Don’t resist it.
You cannot fight it,
Trust me.
You must become one with it.
No one can defy the will of the heavens.
The fate determined by the stars.
Sacrifice everything to me.
A throne made of bones,
atop of the ruins of the pale king.
A burning village with shards of stone.
However, in the end,
that power was created by humans.
There is no reason why I shouldn't overcome it.
My flames will burn the black sun to a crisp.
I must rise to greater heights,
claim all the power in the world.
My biggest disgrace.
However, because of that mistake,
I was reborn.
This cracked crown, this pure vessel.
Smash it to pieces.
