The Doorway
As I walk along the beach at dawn
Just as the sun is coming up over the horizon
I stumble across an opened doorway
It is floating about a foot above the ground
As I approach it, I see such beauty
I see myself laughing in a way I've never experienced
I have a golden glow that surrounds me
A glow that is so warm and bright, it resembles the sun
The sunrise through this door is so vibrant
The colors are so intense,
words cannot even describe it's awe inspiring beauty
I approach the doorway,
and I stand a moment on the threshold
One step away from an unknown opportunity
Or going one step back into the same ordinary life,
Where i am always wanting more.
I glance once more at myself through the door
Our eyes meet and I am overflowing with joy and hope
I feel such love that
I take that one step into this
unknown world of such intense beauty
It takes me a moment to fully realize the true magnificance
The true awe inspiring brilliance of such a place
I turn looking back just as the door closes and disappears.
For a moment i wonder will I ever get back?
As I look once again in front of me, I see myself coming near.
We are standing face to face
Looking into the depths of my own eyes
Both with uncertainty and recognition.
In a split second we become one
And I can feel that warm glow now
Surrounding my body,
I feel that joy and hope and love flowing within me
I now know that I have found true paradise
Will I ever go back? Do I really want to?
No, I no longer understand my hesitancy
In fear due to the unknown.
This place has given me knowledge
I am now fearless,
I am now full of love
I am now in Heaven.
