The Doctor's Secret Thoughts

The Doctor’s Secret Thoughts

By Elton Camp

I think you might have the flu
Here is what I’ll have you to do
Just take this shot of penicillin
So it’ll wipe out that evil villain

That the disease is to a virus due
Means absolutely naught to you
So antibiotics won’t be effective
But of my income are protective

You can’t tell you came here sick
And I didn’t care, not even a lick
I was a callous old medical snake
Since I didn’t give anything to take

I know soon you will be feeling better
So now follow my orders to the letter
You must come back here in a week
I can charge to take yet another peek

I well know when that long you endure
Your own immunity has time to cure
There is very truly no way on the earth
That this shot can have the least worth

But the thing I do now intend, you see
Is for you to give all of the credit to me
When recovered, you spread all around
Report that I’m the best doc of the town

Thank you! This kind of "care" drives me nuts! The biggest care seems to be the Ferrari payment of the doctor!

Quite sarcastic, witty and humorous write on today's medical practitioners. Elton
