The Doctor---Me

People laugh because Doctor Who makes me cry. But I cry because I am the Doctor, an outsider wandering through space and time, exiled forever from the world that created me.    The Doctor killed his people to save the universe. I killed my soul to save my children. Companions come and go, but they never really understand us ---they can't--- and ultimately they return home to kindred spirits while we must continue on alone. But the Doctor and I, we carry on tilting at fate, fighting the loneliness with a joke or an adventure, anything to hide the pain of unbearable loss and the festering wounds that will outlast time.
