The Distant Breeze

Misty mountain morning
of pastel pink and blue
the wind songs playing through the trees
reminding me of you

The peaks on the horizon
on foggy blankets rest
the coolness of the air so crisp
nature at her best

Many moons have come and gone
since you and I shared these
for you have gone away, my love
beyond the distant breeze
