The Difference 'Tween Day and Night
He blends into a background of soft blue
as all the world their pastimes they pursue
and daytime lingers in its hazy hue.
By day he seems quite shy - an ordinary guy,
a bit like you and I - just trying to get by.
But as the daylight fades to darkest night
his face lights up with aura shining bright
that dims the twinkling stars within his sight.
For as the stars arrive - a swagger comes alive;
his presence seems to thrive - in wondrous overdrive.
By day the moon is such a modest view,
against soft blue unnoticed to the eye,
but in the dark the moon will find his might
for in the ebon sky his strengths derive.
