The Difference

Cut throat words that slipped off his tongue, Lies so ridiculous, he thought he had won, Love ignored, and forgave, and loved again, Because those words defined his insecure man, Waiting in silence, holding her tongue, Because she knew the truth had already won, Love Is grounded beyond feelings, because feelings are fickle, They come and go as they please, but love stands to differ, Love shows us truth, and doesn't walk away, It gives us the option to stay, yet it always remains, It brings out the best, and shows us the worst, It is the only thing that matters the most on the earth,

Love is an all encompassing emotion it seems and often it blinds us to what is really happening. It gives us a strength that we normally wouldn't possess and allows us to be more acceptant of things that maybe don't sit so well with us. This is only my opinion, but your poem prompted this in me. Your poem does speak the truth and you wrote it so well. It seems it has come from your heart.

Thank you :) I'm glad you liked it, but I have to say, I don't believe it's love that blinds us, I believe it's feeling s that can blind us,,,and for the most part i believe it has alot to do with balance...that love is not just a feeling it's a choice we make, because when things get bad, feelings and emotions can deceive us from the truth ...for me, love is not just an emotion, even though it involves it to a certain degree, but it is way of life, I agree love is a very strong emotion, love leads us and there is a purpose, each of us have our own story, and God sees our heart he knows what we need in order to grow
