The Devil's Sonnet

1.40am
I am lying on my
left on the bed Tough springs
soft pillow and comfort
-ing fox My left eye closed
pressed against the pillow
Staring at the bright screen
I see black and white phos
-phenes like a telly that
had lost its connection
Half my body is numb
other half, half-awake (?)
I had winced upon ill
-Lumination; pupils
constricting at bright light
The words look like they are
magnified I hear an
echo I must be tired
All I can think is why
I feel like I am high
1.46am; 6 mins
