The Devils Game

They say that pain endures strength, if that’s the case why do I feel weak, I turn the page but always turn back for a peek, the past haunts me from time to time, the devil whispers in my ear your all mine, my mistakes hold me in place, how do I move forward when what’s ahead is consequences to face, I try harder an harder to change my ways, but my bad habits always come back for a chance to do replays, I can’t move forward even with one step in front of the other, I try to sleep but the devil seeps in my mind right under the cover, they say just to chose the right path an things will go right, have they ever had the battle of the devil to fight? I become speechless because sorry don’t work anymore, the devil holds me right at the core, my mind racing, my body walking I’m steady pacing, the devils game is what I’m facing.
