The Devil
I know you're there.
You invisible snare.
You evil, don't care.
Floating around in a black cloud.
Thundering and lightning out loud.
Waiting, ready to pounce.
On some poor victim, of your choice.
A false word or deed.
Hatred, jealousy and greed.
War and famine, torture and pain.
The tools employed, drive you insane.
Do not let him in.
Keep from sin.
Tell a lie, the stronger he grows.
The better to unleash the foes.
If good deeds from you flow.
Do not show.
Better anonymous be.
Charity, not to see.
Keep your head down.
Satan is looking around.
Overcome him I must.
Or he will take me with jealousy and lust.
I choose my friends with care.
And I will dare.
To stand up against all wrong.
With Gods help I will be strong.
