The Departure

- The Departure-
Tinder leafy twirl
 Paper origami girl
Vortex cyclonic swish
Her lift a black Subaru
Such kisses blown departing wave
Mistook my greeting for a grave
Leaves and kisses
Lie now remaining still
On our dreamt up driveway
Stony statue petrified
Concrete gargoyles kept inside
Love embalmed and mummified
Chaste behind that leaving car
Leftover stares at looking through rooms
Rancid wine repeats - its done
Mistakes were made and multiplied
Muted violin without a bow
And love goes on
And life goes gone

if she mistook your greeting for a grave, what kind of "... love goes on" is that? stirring, striking, boggles and balms. I think I'm a fan. Much love.

This gave me chills, I'm doing catch up since I was on sabbatical for a time, but I was so enamored with your poetry, I had to revisit! Provocatively rousing. Love 'Paper origami girl' and 'Concrete gargoyles' simply effective!

I'm amazed by any human aspect that allows us to be anything other than "parts". Chaste leaving? So is this a verbal middle-finger?
