The Demon Within

He lives somewhere inside of me
Always trying to get out
I try my best not to listen
But sometimes, I hear him shout

Sometimes, he even does things
That make me feel ashamed
No one knows that he lives there
So I am the one being blamed

I can see his face in the mirror
As I gaze at his hypnotic stare
He talks to me inside of my head
Letting me know that he's there

He says that he wants to help me
And wants me to relinquish my hold
A demon who wants to devour me
I will not give him control

Each day he keeps getting stronger
Til one day, I fear I can't win
Schizophernia is more than a curse
It's truly, the demon within
