The Delicate Balance

There is delicate balance
That must dictate my life
I try to stay in the middle
And keep away from strife
The balance must be right
Or misery ensues
I’m either in euphoria
Or dealing with the blues
There is a delicate balance
Between…..
Beauty and the Beast
famine and the feast
darkness and the light
weakness and might

Don’t plunge me in despair
And not even care
That the balance is disturbed
And you’ve left me perturbed
How long will it take?
To get the balance straight?
Between love and hate
The sinner and saint
The good and the bad
The happy and sad
The sane and insane
The sun and the rain

Tread softly
Think twice
Consider the price………….
You may have to pay
I know what I say…..

There is a balance
A delicate delicate balance
Inside my troubled mind!

Ahh, the struggle of trying to find the right balance. I am sure many can understand this struggles as do I. Your soul is sensitive and beautiful. Always a pleasure exploring your work. Always, Laura

Poets like you and me aren't meant to preserve emotional balance because we crave the extremes of the Epic...if you live to make a worthy Cause of yourself in a world like this imbalance is the only way to stay alive with passion Eileen. What is possibly the most beautiful aspect of your "imbalance" is that you are cognizant of it, and its awesome power. This poem is a sexy admonition Eileen...J.A.B.

I'm given to epic extremes, but my situation has taught me to hold myself in check. I am not strong. I am not a warrior like you, Justin. There are parts of my essence and being that I'm slowly shutting down....living within my boundaries. I grieve that passing...I mourn. Yet, I'm unable to do otherwise. Thank you for your visit. I've missed you.

I think we all feel this way at times. You expressed it well. I am amazed I am the first to comment, this is really good.
