The Deer

By the brook I saw the deer

on an autumn day very clear

                                        sensing there was someone near

off she ran maybe out of fear.

In the woods with her fawn,

leaping off she showed no brawn.

To her well known trails she leapt

Leaving sounds as if leaves were being swept.

I think "she rather off, maybe out of fear" flows better
