The Decision

In the darkness, everyone can hide,

but in the light, the savior abides.

We sneak and crawl, with no remorse,

taking everything, in its due course.

Can we see, what the lord has to give,

forever in eternity, we can live.

High on the mountain, evil is there,

to tempt us from God, who's cross to bare.

The decision is yours, what salvation brought,

confession of all, is all he sought.

The gift was given, the blood was slain,

now you know, don't make it in vain.

yes,,,i kind of thought that... but, them who express the lord... and have a double life ((lol)) know exactly what they are talking about ((wink wink))... and give it the perfect touch one needs when they have a broken spirit... and as for me..i have all the flaws on my side.. plus all of Gods love protecting me & holds on to me... Only he knows... the sorrow I've seen and walked... that is why i love your poetry.. It speaks to me , different than other Godly poems on here.. take care,..p.d

I'm rather afraid of the dark.. John, I can see what the lord has to offer... yes i do shy away from the light,, but, underneath I shine with so much divine... I do have my head in them clouds at time... I know evil is watching,, that is why i pace away from the dark... great inspiring poem,, thank you for your comment,..p.d.

Such wonderful inspiration you give in your verse John. Surely we need to appreciate and be thankful for what was given.

So very true. The decision is so simple considering the cost of what was given to us. It is wonderful to be reminded exactly what our Saviour went through for us. R.M.
