The Death of a Wife

The Death of a Wife The vultures are circling With their knives of black Their only motive To put it in her back But will they be content When they have delivered their load, And returned to their deep dark holes Not a bit! They will return when she is weak Plot, plot some more Squawk and shriek Like a pack of wild geese To tweak and preen And twist that knife in That little bit more, Just as they did before
