The Deadly 7

7 of the most deadly sins, lurk & inhabit., us all within No one is immune, of its venomous wrath. Human nature not an obstacle, in its path. Although we are made out of love, we are born into sin. Nothing more deadly than the living and breathing. let me introduce , you to PRIDE. A funny thing we all know, yet hide. Pride is the deadliest of them all, many a man live truly a man fall. Pride is so hurtful in many ways, it takes recognition away, Competitively displays. In this materialistic world, we live in. ENVY is shrewd so, we may not see it coming. Unknowingly to us or the victims it harbors, resent the good seen, in others To have everything in abundance and never satisfied, is truly GLUTTONY with "big" gleaming, eyes. Wanting something, purely for our own, pleasure & satisfaction, LUST has no love or, emotional attachment. In a twinkle of an eye ANGER, can trigger a sad goodbye. Many have died at the hands of this trait, love turned to anger determines another's fate. Obtaining all the possessions of wealth and fortune, GREED sadly strips us of our salvation, with distortion. Physical things that we need at present, vanish away with , irrelevance. Working for what we want to achieve, there is no place for SLOTH, and it's un-motivated deeds..

you have grown since we last met, your words,forms, styles and expression, also there is this spark I see shining so bright, so evident in every word you penned. We should have a duel with words, my sparring mate and truest friend or a dual composing poem like singers singing a duet!

Bravo, what an awesome message to all, the seven deadly sins, this is one great write, excellent explanation of the sins, you covered them all, sadly many think of sin in degrees from a small sin to the biggest, but sin is sin , well done, a favourite for me , blessings sueellen

The ones I have committed havn't been DEADLY so far, thank God. It's a good thing he is so forgiving or the deadly would have kicked in a long time ago. Great poem. You have been a busy girl since I last visited.

A great poem, though I wish I thought of it before you, I could write a poem just as good you know, but I'm just too lazy. I'd love to have this one for myself, I have so many poems already, but I want more. In fact you have a few others I want Cherie, the feeling is so overwhelming because I want them so bad -but it's making me livid thinking about the fact that you probably won't give them to me, will you!?! LMAO!!! You cant relate to not 1 of the 7 deadly sins your flawless!!!!! ..a earth angel perhaps??? Cherie - I must admit I have been guilty of commiting all 7 of the deadlies mentioned in this wonderful poem of yours and still do ...Hopefully, as we grow older we can avoid some of them or at least gain wisdom after paying the price for those sins...Thank you for this - Tim
