The Dead Hope
The light that gleams
on the palm,
Flashes into my dull
eyes,
Eyes, that are dull,
don't let it touch my
heart,
My heart is drowned
in the dark shadows
of sorrows,
It wants the light of
hope, of love and
peace,
What shall I do?
When all hopes 've
already died,
The light that passes
through the shivering
green leaves,
Does not reach my
heart, only reflects on
my eyes.
Light is free, but not
my heart,
My heart is chained
with the chains of
despaire,
The chains that bound
it with force unkown,
Will be broken
someday, must be
shattered I hope,
I hope against the
hope, though all the
hopes are dead,
Yes, I know! I know,
that all hopes are
dead...
