The Day You Went Away

I came to say goodbye
Because I only said "hi"
It happened so fast
The hi came
My name happened
Your name happened
A life became

You called me "my wonderful daughter"
You cared
You loved all
You were patient
You loved peace

The day you went away, I had the worst nightmare
At noon, in broad daylight during my nap
Subconsciously 
I was terrified of death
Yet that was the only thing that I felt I needed
I stood on top of the highest building and gravity was pulling me down
I feared death
I wanted death

I woke up angry and scared
I said my prayers asking for the safety of all my loved ones 
I wasn't ready to let go of anyone
Not even myself

But an angel was already home
Goodbye
Till we meet again
