The Day You Died, I Did Too, Mother

There was something in you that magically sparkled. A light that brightened each corner of this world. And when you died, that light was snuffed out. And no...it never returned! I tried so many ways to make my life a kaleidoscope of love again. But a Mother cannot be replaced, not even with this pen. You hope you turn a corner, and maybe, just maybe, she will be right there But the soft summer breeze tells you, Her breath and kisses are indeed, gone forever, never again! I am fully cognizant that not all mothers are the same. Many adults have shared with me, no, they did not love their mother. It shows in who they are, unable to appreciate any another. Mom loved everyone, we all her children were. When I walked Maria down the aisle, wrapped was I in her mink stole. It was like being wrapped in her arms again, made of love, the finest of spun gold!              8/29/2021                   1

Such a beautiful heartfelt tribute to your dearest Mother, which in turn brought back sweet memories of my own dear Mum, who passed to soon at 67. How lucky we were dear Panagiota to have experienced such love in our lives. Thank you dearest friend for your wonderful poem. With love and hugs to sweet Irene ^~^ and her lovely Mum xxxx

Dearest Ann, Golly, that is a young age for a Mother to pass. I know she loved you. I can feel love in all your poetry and your losses, too..... I am glad you liked this. Irene sleeps with me each night, right on my chest. She snuggles, so beautifully Ann!! I hear her soft purrs and off to dreamland I go. Irene sends you cat hugs. I send you my love and friendship from across the pond... Panagiota Xxoo

Dear Robert. What a moving comment and tribute to my parents.they both gave 100 percent of themselves to everyone. I wish all people had one tenth of their live for people. For me, it was the best schools,,,a beautiful home, a religious background. They both worked 12 hour days, they never were too tired to do something for anyone, one day a week off add,,NO vacations. I could never asked for better parents, both lived to their mid 80’s! Golly, you were young when you lost your Dad Sorry..about your Mom, too. She and Dad raised one knock-out of a son! Wow. Oanagiota. Appreciate your FAVING this. I know you understand ny heart and intentions. I am here to communicate only, not win a thing. Panagiota

Bob, she really treated myself and my friends as if they were hers. I don't know how she worked, 12 hours a day, kept house, cooked and attended chicken's recitals. Not only mine, those of her friends. God did bless me with her...and He has every day of my life,,,Pangie 8/30/2021

It's lovely that you had great thoughts of your mother, Pangie. So sad that some people actually hate their moms and even sadder that the moms raised the kids to feel that way!!

that is why I said even sadder that moms raise their kids to be that way. yes, those hateful monster parents should be flogged. They should be stripped of even the ability to have kids at all

Andrea! Some Moms create that Munchauser's Syndrome.. There is no way they can forgive their Mothers. And a Mom like that..,does permanent psychological damage on a child, Fathers also rape young daughters.what can a child do, growing up with such heinous memories? I never walked in their shoes, so I don't know what I would do. These are permanent scars....Pangie 8/30. Hugs

A beautiful tribute to your mother Pangie, it brings back memories of my angelic mother too. I love how you felt walking your own daughter Maria down the aisle wrapped in her mink stole. A mother’s heart is a work of art… Hugs, Belle

An outstanding comment, Belle. That was so special wearing her mink. It made me feel she was there with me. I felt both joy and loss when Maria got married on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Bu felt her warmth wearing it. I still have it! It is as soft and living as was she. Love that last line plus your engagement poem! What a heart you have! Panagiota xx

They muck about killing each other from babies to the elderly,to soldiers, Too We have a pandemic of true evil....for which there is no cure. In memory of Mom. Pangie

Panagiota, What is real other than a mother's love. What to do without the hugs, all named for her. The finest weave can never be filled in any brightness of life's tapestry going on. Not without love, you know you must, you are that one now. -Richard
