AFTER THE ECLIPSE
If there be a tomorrow
Let it be filled with the Awesome light
After the eclipse.
Let the things that have not happened yet;
be filled with joy and promise
Instead of sorrowful regrets.
If there be a tomorrow...
Let there be; No more
long and lonely days stewing,
people pining in fear.
Let us see OUR future thrive.
If there be a tomorrow;
Let it be void of hate.
Let not yesterday’s agony
be the feature of today.
Leave the sorted past of all our sorrows,
In the heap of fatal woes.
If there be a tomorrow.
Let it be void of hate.
Let not yesterday’s agony
be the feature of today.
Leave the sorted past of all our sorrows,
In the heap of fatal woes.
Cover them and bury them
in the ever-sinking holes.
If there be a tomorrow
If anyone wants to see the past return,
remove them from the now.
Let us advance, and leave them stranded,
in the torment of their own minds.
If there be a tomorrow;
Let not those who oppose the
advancement of mankind,
Follow us into the new moon.
Leave them, in yesterday,
“where their hearts are.”
Let them: Waddle in yesterday’s grief
And the misery they have caused;
With faces of stone,
They still proudly own, yesterday’s grief:
Those opposed to relief, and
whose beliefs? Lies in the past.
If there be a tomorrow:
“Let us move on, and look forward...
towards the new sun”;
After the eclipse:
God’s presence has been shown,
and{shone}
Let us move on, into the new dawn!
