The Day the Rain Swept Through

The rain swept through
on a winter's day
leaving sky and land
well broomed.

Bluest blues were
heaven's hues
while grass and
trees gleamed green.

Sidewalks shimmered
as fallen leaves shivered,
the day the rain swept
through.
