The Day of Your Birth
The Day of your Birth
On the day of your birth I felt;
The other half of my soul melt.
For that day your smile made me a man;
Yet as you grew I refused to stand.
As a father I denied you the love;
And stayed hidden from you thereof.
I hid behind a shameful pride;
And now I feel like my soul has died.
Died from knowing I ever needed to care;
And leaving you out there and that wasn't fare.
Now each time I see that father and child;
It breaks my heart knowing I was that wild.
So wild I forgot to be your crotch;
Knowing that you needed my strength that munch.
Now that blame has made me see;
That your life is not a final part from me...
