The Day My Mom Stopped Loving Me

The day my mom stopped loving me
Was not so long ago,
She said she wouldn’t talk to me
For reasons I don’t know.

The day my mom stopped loving me
I knew that all was lost,
Everything is in pieces now
Our relationship the cost.

The day my mom stopped loving me
She left a hole in my heart,
An empty void her love once filled,
That’s now been torn apart.

The day my mom stopped loving me
I still told her “I love you”
But instead of telling me the same
She simply said “thank you.”

These are shoes I have worn, otherwise hard for anyone to understand.

Oh, this one hits right in the viscera. Some people find it difficult to believe that a mother would withdraw her love; but I know it is true. However sad, this is a refreshing read for me. Hugs Katie, and understanding. xomo
