The Day Life Ceased

We all have stories about our life experiences... And as much as we can try to focus on the positive things... Sometimes awful events occur that stop our world from turning. We can only try our best to move on and make the world better for others. The day life ceased... By Michelle Morris 05/04/2020 The last day I saw you, You told me to go for good; Even though I know He controlled you, It stopped my heart cold. My life ceased that day, Never to be the same; I loved you then, I'll love you forever; But the years we lost Hurt my endeavour. Nothing can ever Make it up to us; Nothing can ever Make it right. Life still goes on Around me... But I'm still there, Sitting in that Restaurant... Stunned and alone. © Michelle Morris, 2020

A very sad piece my friend. Yes, we must face up to such events. Your verses sing of sadness and loss. Yet you still being her shows your triumph over adversity. Gotta fav thi one as it shows great strength and victory, God bless.

I appreciate your kind words of empathy and understanding. Yes, this is based on my life and that heartbreak has echoed on. But, as you say, I am still here. I am trying to be strong. Victory has been intermittent... But I remain hopeful. ;-) Stay safe and take care. Blessings and best wishes. :-)
