THE DAY I DIE

When I die,

There will not be a day of mourning for anyone.

No, announcements in the news will be made,

No, speeches will be heard,

No, articles will be written,

And the bells of my church will remain silent.

Thus,

Unnoticed, my departure from this world would be.

Only the humble verses of my three thousand-plus poems will be present-

A brave army at attention, ready to pay homage to their departed father-

By singing a lullaby, composed by the ideas, sayings, and deeds of mine,

In an effort to pacify my soul at the moment of her transition from her

Temporal to her eternal home!

-

Oh, what a glorious day, that day would be!

Hello Demetrios, Perhaps a forgone conclusion in the end for all of us, yet each day a gift and miracle. All felt in days that watch the dawn rise in the east in youth, heading ever westward to the setting sun. A wish for blessings in all of your sunsets. -Richard

Richard, my friend. How are you? We have not spoken for a very long time. I pray you and your dear wife are well. Blessings to both. Thank you for your gracious visit.

- A lovely poem as always, my friend - But I don't agree... there are many who will find this day sad... including me - You will not leave this world unnoticed, Demetrios - And you leave many "traces" that will not be forgotten :) - hugs

You are so gracious, my beloved friend. You have been here since the first day I started back in 2012. Thank you so much! Thank you. God bless you!
