The Day Creativity Died

I lad down my pen This is it I said I laid down my head This is the day, this is the day Creativity died I tried and tried But I couldn't provide Any works of knowledge So I was still And I prayed to God But I wasn't in His will So I cried... This is the day creativity died; This is the day creativity died; So I spoke a word, no one heard And I wrote a word, no one read it; So I soon forgot it God just took it away..... I lad down my pen This is it I said I laid down my head This is the day, this is the day Creativity died I'm all up set I'd use to be blessed backslid, fallen, fell on the floor Trip against the wall Now I called on Jesus I laid down my head This is the day, this is the day Creativity died But I wasn't in His will So I cried... This is the day creativity died; This is the day creativity died; Oh! Lord have your way in my in my life today Oh! Lord renew in me give me your thoughts I pray Help me to do right Help me to see the light Renew in me your words so that I may write Renew the creativity Yeah Birth in me the words you want me to say, hey today this I promise your words I will recreate and honor yesterday was the day creativity died But since I fell on my knees and I prayed God renewed the creativity today 08/09/17 written words by James Edward Lee Sr.

James, like you, I have been down this path before and God never fails us when we ask of Him. He opens the mind and heart and His Holy Spirit shall guide your pen in ways that are truly amazing! Trust in Him and creativity will flow! Excellent piece. Best regards and hugs. Pandita

Pandita, thanks for your support. I agree with what you say. When we be still and allow THE CREATOR to share what He can give us this is when we prosper. It's not about me, if any of my lyrics/poems helps someone, encourages, the glory goes to God we're just vessels. I would rather have my works read by the public than to make profit and extreme monetary gain, Thanks again :D James
