The Day After Night

It seems to me my life,
since a time not very long ago,
has somehow been restored.
That again my world is bathed in light
though I had seen the sun disown me
beyond some distant, dark horizon.
And it seems that blood's warmth has been rekindled
where frost's hard grip was slowly tightening,
that belief has resumed its unpretentious way
where doubt's destructive forces once had raged,
that spring is flaunting blossoms sweet and new
where wintertime's expected gloom impended.
And, where had idled uncharted regions of my soul,
there is you.

by the way, I still am waiting for more poems from you for me to read. It's nearly 1 a.m. I do not even feel tired, but because I wrote a poem and answered a few blogs, I can't catch up here. I better just let it go.... and get some sleep.

Was this one of your personal faves, REd? This is absolutely beautiful. (you should see me struggling to keep my eyes open right now, but for this poem it was easy because it was not at all boring!) As much as I wanted to seek out poets I have not commented to lately, I better call it a night very soon.
