The Darkest Nights

Today the skies turn dark

And the moon and stars go
dull

I've run out of luck

I await an angel to bring it
back

The life and happiness is
now undone

Tonight i wander lonely as
a cloud

Tonight i write the saddest
lines

They say to err is human,to
forgive is divine

But why has death befallen
my vines

Seated in the dull
moonlight as my candle
burns on both ends

Still in vain my soul tries to
comprehend

Tonight my heart blurts the
saddest words

Words pouring from my
heart like morning dew on
grass

As what just occured even i
cannot grasp

The last of life for which
the first was made

And still my past i can't
evade

Tonight the flowers wither

The weaver birds in the
skies shiver

As a cold chill comes from
the river

I hate that i'm a master of
my fate

So my eyes i close as i await
the end of this date
