The Dark Side of the Night Sky
When darkness dives to save the day
Subconscious minds drift off astray,
Bursting with burning hot desire,
Setting the night on phantom fire.
Under the dark sky's shelter, they
Explore a slew of shades of grey.
Under the moonlight, sly and lush,
Minds’ surpluses hover in hush.
Disturbing dreams, daring and bold,
Don’t hold back begging to unfold -
Sweat sets into nightmarish mode
Of feverish and icy cold.
As day’s safe undercover blown,
As night’s stark terrors frantic flown,
There’s no escape from dire pursuit,
Deafening pleas for help fall mute.
Demons of darkness, hot or cold,
Prance in the dark, not to be told…
Burnt out, their sacred secrets die
Under the oath of the night sky.
