"the Dark Poet"

A cold rain coming down, as my hands
start to shake...
Standing over the table with the poison
ready to mix in this cake..
Upstairs lies the monster, for a deed must
be done...
A slice of this will silence him without a noise
from a gun..
Step by step the stairs creek as I make my
way up..
A tray in hand , a sliver of cake and some
warm tea in a cup..
Sleep, sleep my giant as the horror is put
to rest..
Two or three bites is all it would take till
this man holds his chest..
Heaven isn't your road and hell might disregard
you too..
So rot in the ground as we trample your grave,
without so much as a boo..

Dark poet contest entry.....

Dark indeed. Sometimes it takes darkness to remove darkness; evil to rid us of evil; horror to end the horror. I like this story. Nice job. Good luck in the contest. Joe
