The Dark Place

Sometimes in everyone's life steps,
we find ourselves a little lost,
 our compass locked and immovable
and we go down, down to the dark place.

Clouds fill the sky with grays on white
and winds blow chilly and cold
as we struggle to go back or forward
unsure, afraid of which way to go.

Laughter is stilled and silent
as a rush of emotions unfold
and we feel forever lost without hope
of escaping the dark place of the soul.

In the distance further off
a little hint of light seeps in
 and hope and dreams return
to draw us from the dark place and bring us safely in.

Very well written DM. Nice lines of hope at the end of this :)
