The Dark Night

The world is covered by darkness
We look for the light in the night
Darkness hides everything
We can't see where we're going

Look up at the stars
Little by little, they are faint lights
Scattered thousands of miles away
Can't bring us to hope bright

Lights in the near and far
Tearing the darkness into a net
The cold wind is blowing in
Awakening the body power
To resist the confusion inside

Sigh! the world is so big
But we are so small
Our hearts are so big
But our strength is so small

The helplessness of life is becoming
A lingering embarrassment sigh
Habitat as this makes wishes cry
How can we realize the ideal?
To make our lives flowers alike
Stretching in the breeze
And smiling in the sunlight

I enjoyed the last stanza the best. It seems the longing for "better" echoes... The whole piece is lovely. Wonderfully written. Ann

Your comment is clever and encouraging, somehow like a mirror, which makes me see the way. Your guidance is really very helpful! Thank you so much indeed! Take very good care of yourself and each other, and have a bright and happy day! Xuefeng Pan
