The Dark Bird

A see a bird in the corner of my eye
 black I believe
and I wonder of its name.
It could be a majestic magpie
 a beautiful blackbird
 a revered raven
 a caring crow
 or perhaps
 it wasn't black at all
but just a nice dark shade
 of deep charcoal.
