The Dark

A million lights around me But darkness is all I see It spreads its tendrils all over my body Until it consumes my entire being I learn to live in its shadow Its hold on me is all that I know I bow down to it in submission And it assumes full control of me I will bend, but never break Learning to harness its power Becoming its right hand So that I may survive everything And maybe that makes me a little crazy And maybe I am completely fine with that They say that there is beauty in chaos But I am the chaos in beauty
