Gershon Wolf Poet Couplet

The Daredevil

I thought to cross the busy lane
   but cobblestones cause foot pain

As I chance upon a rushing stream
   her current whispers, 'Don't dare dream'

When fragrance beckons from the rose
   angry bees buzz 'round my nose...

While softly falls the swirling snow
   Might I fall? Who would know? ---

And now to secure my tank's door
   Three cheers ~ I'm off to war

Taking action can be hard. Love the final two lines as sometimes it does feel like we live in a battle zone. Awesome writing, Gershon!
