The Dangers of Flags
Beware of the dangers of flags
They’re much more than colourful rags
They’re at the head of each army
And groups who are barmy
Beware of the dangers of flags
Beware of the dangers of flags
They’re much more than colourful rags
Worn by the patriotic
And the simply idiotic
Beware of the dangers of flags
Beware of the dangers of flags
They’re much more than colourful rags
If it’s a tourniquet you’re needing
They might stem the bleeding
Beware of the dangers of flags
Beware of the dangers of flags
They’re much more than colourful rags
From Hitler to Bob Menzies
They help whip up great frenzies
Please beware of the dangers of flags
I don’t mean to unnerve ya
But they’re used to create fervour
Beware of the dangers of flags.
