Notes About The Poem

The Dance of Dances

In early morn, the clouds are light
And breezes dissipate the worries of yesterday
While wispy clouds' dance a fleeting sight
Both camellias and magnolia's limbs sway

Camellias' verdant leaves a sight to see
Against magnolia's beauty pure and white
The two have healing touches in nature's glee
And Larkspurs' colors charm with delight

Magnolia's petals lift in the gentle breeze
Amidst the beauty of nature's grace
A symphony of colors a harmonious tease
In this wondrous heavenly place

Larks sing in the morning light
Where earth and sky meet in unity
Together they dance a wonderous sight
A moment of perfect serenity

Magnolia and Camellia.... both are flowers, l love. When they sway and dance in the wind, it will be a beautiful sight. Greatly enjoyed this dance of dances, Sara.

Thank you, Valsa. Yes, sometimes right at the ending of the season of winter and spring starting up I have both in bloom, but it is very rare as Camellias bloom fall to end of spring and the magnolia begins a little later unless it is Star Magnolia which starts blooming in late winter then Japanese Magnolia usually starts up at nearly spring. Dear Sara, How could I not love the serene picture of that early morning garden. The lush imagery and peaceful vibe totally transported me there. I love gardens, and if you are familiar with Longwood Gardens it is one of my favorite places to visit with my wife since it is only 5 miles away. Beautifully done! Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel for the compliments about my work. I looked up Longwood Gardens and saw some pictures of it. Yes, it would be a wonderful place to visit. There are some places around in Georgia that make a nice day trip, but I am not longer that mobile to be able to visit unless it were a ride through Garden. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Getting up at first light breeds such joyful poetry. I love sitting in my Dad’s backyard where he has beautiful trees including a magnolia, and when he fills the birdfeeder, so many wonderful birds. I, too, have trees but the birds are often out of sight.
