The Cunning Man
The leader claimed he conserved what was good
He claimed he ruled as well as any ruler could
The cunning man’s intentions were still unclear
Could he be trying to abort all still unborn ideas?
Or was he just hoping he could sway us to the right
Prove to us a government operates better light
More like a family who stands by the father
Even if he turns out to be an absolute bother
Never apologizing or admitting wrongful doing
And keeping his supporters from ever booing,
Being disillusioned or going completely insane
From too much aggravation and headache pain.
A leader who is himself and never puts on airs
He keeps telling us what the country needs
I wish he would just admit to his savory deeds
