The Cunning Kitten

Oh joy of joys!
She bought us some toys-
Whenever I am bad
She yells and gets mad...

For a minute or two-
Until I show her a view
Of the crushed little kitten
with big, sad eyes
Then she hugs me, all smitten.

Every time I am deceitful
and cunning;
Silly human- I own you
It's all just an act-
But one thing is a fact
I know what I'm gettin'
More toys for me to whack!

Amy What a cute and fun write. Kittens are adorable, especially when they go crazy and do humorous entertaining things.

Amy, just read your blog about cat lovers so this sweet poem brought a big smile to my face. Cats "own" us, not the other way around. But mine always refused to play with toys. They seemed much more content just to claw at the furniture. LOL Also wanted to read your latest poem but we can't unless you put a title on it. Love, Carolyn
