The Crying

The Crying begins about the Midnight hour in my so dark and still room, when on a half empty bed, I reach to the other side only to feel again the lack of you near me. The Crying continues as the cold flat sheets remind me just how much I need your warm curves pressed against me, so I can love you and care for you tonight and every night. The Crying wails louder and longer calling for you to end it, forbidding me sleep, tearing at my soul, taking forever in minutes each night around Midnight. Do you hear the Crying of my soul across decades of years and the distance between your heart and mine, please end the Crying before it drowns me on this half empty bed. 2010
