The Cruelest Thing One Can Do

I often think cruelest thing one can do, Is to deny the young the opportunity to follow their heart, All because your heart was once broken, And you have not learned to forgive. The hole in their heart, Now about to become the same size as yours, With no sewing kit in the house, To give even one thread of hope to you both. We can only hope the heart you have broken, Finds forgiveness before another young one falls in Love. So that a sewing kit is again to be found in the house.

Yes indeed. While drugs and alcohol abuse is issue around young Love sometimes it can be of the lasting kind if family can get past stereotypes. My eldest met her partner at 16 and she is still with him at 30. they recently got a home in our street and we love him to bits. Admittedly there was no drugs or alcohol issues with either of them but it would have been easy to make it harder than it needed to be for them. Thanks again for reading Ann, regards David in NZ
