The Crowd
Have you ever walked into a packed room,
full of people leering at you,
watching you take every little step
wondering who you could be?
Their eyes, every shade you can think of,
looking at your figure move across the floor,
as if you were the prey and they were the predator.
Whatever they see in you could be dangerous to them.
They worry that you might attack,
and damage their dignity with your sharp tongue.
Whatever they feel from you is powerful.
Making them want to defend their pride.
Hideaway before you strike.
Hoping to not lose their lives tonight.
Have you ever felt or seen that?
They are intimidated by your presence.
So show them that you are the ruler,
and let them scurry off with disdain.
